IDEA-X CHALLENGE – May 2027
Students from the Langley School District are all set to dive deep into the world of entrepreneurship! They are rolling up their sleeves and getting ready to tackle real-world problems with the 2027 IDEA-X Challenge. This one-of-a-kind extracurricular project is an exclusive opportunity for these students to flex their entrepreneurial muscles, make a positive social difference, and unleash their creativity and innovation skills.
But what exactly is the IDEA-X Challenge? It’s a platform where students learn to innovate and market their ideas, and sharpen their financial savvy. The challenge is open to teams of grade 8-12 students who are eager to understand what it takes to collaborate effectively and to work through the design thinking process towards a viable solution to a real-world problem.
The IDEA-X Challenge isn’t just about coming up with ideas. It’s about going through a rigorous schedule of research, development, prototype testing, feedback analysis and multiple iterations. After 4 months, their journey will culminate in the Eliminations Challenge, whereby the contenders submit detailed digital PR Kits for assessment and present their ideas to a panel of esteemed judges.

What’s at stake? Teams compete to win up to $20,000 in scholarship funds! That’s right, not only do they get to experience the thrill of turning their ideas into reality, but they also stand a chance to win significant scholarship funds to further their education.
