Our Story is Who We Are

The Langley School District Foundation was established in 2001 with a goal to supplement publicly funded education to ensure Langley students achieve success. Although the Foundation is independent of the Langley School District, its sole purpose is to support Langley students.

Our Vision is Langley

Every Langley school district student reaches their full educational potential.

Our Mission is Learning

To provide opportunities and support students to overcome barriers, ensuring education is accessible and valuable for all Langley school district students.

What we do

  • We raise funds to support student and school needs.
  • We distribute funds where they are most needed and will have the greatest impact.
  • We support student and school initiatives to ensure their success.
  • We collaborate with community partners to deliver cohesive programming. We work with the community to understand opportunities and barriers.

Alicia Rempel

Executive Director

It is my absolute pleasure to serve the students and families in this district. As a parent with three children in Langley public schools, I know firsthand what an integral partner the Foundation is to SD35. As one of the few districts in BC with a non-profit foundation fundraising solely for the benefit of Langley students, our learners are reaping the benefits! While we are a separate entity from the School District, our close partnership means that when a need arises at a school, the Foundation does our very best to meet that need. Caring for students, together.

Youth Advisory

The Youth Advisory meets once or twice throughout the school year to provide valuable input on projects and initiatives. A think-tank-like group, contributing with innovative ideas and perspectives, helping us understand the needs and aspirations of Langley students better.

Members of the Youth Advisory will be part of the decision-making process, helping shape the priorities and projects for the Foundation. The projects they work on will be student-centric, aimed at enhancing the learning experience and creating a more inclusive, engaging, and dynamic school environment.
